At The Learning Circle, we believe that healthy bodies and healthy minds go hand in hand. That’s why we’ve woven Foundations of Mindful Movement into every age group’s day. From our youngest learners to our older leaders, children explore gentle yoga poses, positive affirmations, breathing techniques, and calming activities that help them feel grounded and confident.
Mindful movement isn’t just about flexibility or balance—it’s about giving children tools they can carry for life. Learning to take a deep breath before tackling a challenge, practicing gratitude, or finding stillness in a busy moment can help kids build resilience and self-awareness. These are skills that benefit them far beyond the classroom.
Research shows that mindfulness and movement activities improve focus, reduce stress, and support emotional regulation in children. Our teachers lead sessions in a way that’s playful and engaging, so children see it as a joyful part of their day, not a chore.
Parents often tell us they see the difference at home—children remembering to “breathe like a balloon” when they feel upset or sharing a new yoga pose before bedtime. We love that what starts in our classrooms extends into family life.
By starting early, we’re helping shape a generation of learners who are not only ready for school but also ready for life’s challenges—with strong bodies, calm minds, and caring hearts.
